The Dower House is a great place to base yourself for researching your family history. We have had guests from all over the world tracing their proud Scottish heritage.

The Dower House is located in the heart of Mackenzie country. Other clans in the area include Ross, Munroe, Chisolm and Fraser. Inverness Library is home to a large archives going back to 1890, some burghs even date back the 1455.
